UV Ozone Reduction for Residual Ozone Control


Ozone is widely used for water disinfection because of its strong oxidation capability, but residual ozone may remain after treatment and affect water quality. If not properly reduced, excessive residual ozone may contribute to unwanted byproducts or other downstream effects. Reducing residual ozone helps maintain stable water conditions before storage, recirculation, or downstream use.


UIEX WORU-LP and WORU-MP Series use UV dissociation to rapidly reduce residual ozone. WORU-LP adopts low-pressure UV technology with a 16,000-hour lamp life, while WORU-MP adopts medium-pressure UV technology with a 9,000-hour lamp life. With ozone-absorbing UV output, a 316L stainless-steel chamber, flow management baffle, and temperature safety circuit, the systems support reliable ozone reduction performance.
