Infrared Drying

Paint curing in the automotive industry

Using Short wave infrared for curing paint can provide many benefits to the Automotive Industry. By using UIEX’s shortwave IR paint driers, drying times are significantly reduced as well as improved energy efficiency compared to other curing methods. As short wave IR penetrates into the substrate of the material being cured, creating an even heat distribution which stops the paint from skinning or cracking.

UIEX  IR lamps have excellent glare reduction thanks to a special method of vacuum deposition developed by Victory which is used to deposit the gold coating. UIEXʼs manufacturing process uses state-of-the-art vacuum deposition technology that enables a dichroic film to be coated onto tubular surfaces.
