Amalgam UV Lamps High-Output Low-Pressure UV Lamps for Replacement Applications Amalgam UV lamps are a type of high-output low-pressure UV lamp in which amalgam technology is used to help maintain stable mercury vapor pressure over a wider operating range. Compared with conventional low-pressure lamps, this allows higher lamp loading while maintaining efficient UVC output. Depending on the quartz material and lamp design, amalgam lamps can be configured for primarily 254 nm output or for applications requiring 185 nm UV. UIEX uses amalgam lamp technology in both low-pressure disinfection systems and 185 nm TOC-reduction systems. For replacement applications, the required wavelength, lamp dimensions, electrical characteristics and connection configuration should be confirmed before selection. | ![]() |
